NO PAIN FOR SPAIN! Felicitaciónes España!

So Spain hurdled their final obstacle to taste the sweet victory in Vienna. A goal by Fernando Torres ended this country's hunger for a major title. And it just gets sweeter as it came very very late. haha..tagal na plang wlang title ang La Furia Roja. Their last was the Euro 1964.

I've heard days before the championship last night the press in Madrid can't contain their excitement. And here..they just came too strong for Germany. They were too zealous, too hungry, too powerful. haha..I'm happy for Aragones that he can retire with a major accomplishment under his belt. And somehow I felt sorry for Ballack. Just too many upsets for him. A German loss against Brazil at 2002 World Cup, last month's Chelsea placing 2nd to Manchester United, and now, Germany losing the cup to Spain. malas naman niya.

Anyway...I'm happy for Spain, even if I'm initially rooting for France.

A German fan reacts.

Queen Sofia and King Juan Carlos I of Spain congratulated Fernando Torres.

German Chancellor Angela Merckel comforted Micheal Ballack after Germany's loss. Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero looks.

Yeah. The German fan. again. cute nya eh. ^_^

Ballack claps for the victorious La Furia Roja

Crazy gas price hike: Shaking the foundations of Economics

Could someone please explain: why did the oil price ascend to $0.81 yesterday after Saudi Arabia pledged last Sunday to increase its output by 200,000 barrels in July? Abnornal na yan ah. I mean it totally transcends the principle of bringing down the price of a commodity if supply is increased (i'm not excatly sure what's that principle/rule called.)

Sa totoo lang kasi, I know for some reason that gas prices climb because of SPECULATIONS (ie. speculations of supply disruption from ever-chaotic major supplier Nigeria, Bush-hater Chavez the President of another major producer Venezuela, and also depends on the political atmosphere of Russia.) But take note that those are primarily because of fears of supply disruption. Going back, this one is entirely different. Saudi Arabia pumping more to ease the price. Supply augmentation. But what the hell happened? The prices just climbed. Isn't that crazy? nuts? Yeah. ang mahal na tlga ng gas and I'm going nuts.

Italy is OUT! YEEEEES!

Ok. So after string of diappointments (Portugal was demolished by Germany and Croatia was thrashed by Turkey), this one coming is definitely not. In fact, it is one of the best news for me from the Euro 2008. Italy was butt-kicked out of the Euro by the good ol' country we've slept with for 300 years, SPAIN! Muchas, muchas gracias, España.

Now these bastard Azzurris (Italians) are in pain. And I'm just glad because it shattered the Azzurri's dream of matching France's feat of a back-to-back Euro win after a World Cup victory (France won Euro in 2000, two years after it won the World Cup in 1998.) Italy won the World Cup in 2006, at the EXPENSE of France. So I'm just happy. haha..feeling vindicated after the France slay of Italy.

Anyway, Russia is a major surprise. Seriously, I didn't think Russia to get past the knockout stage. What magic does Hiddink have?

Haaaay..for the meantine, I'll savor this great feeling. Italy's OUT and I'm in heaven. Lets see on Wednesday Germany vs. Turkey and Spain vs. Russia on Thursday.

````
I called the SkyCable office to subscribe for the season pass so I can watch the semis and finals match of Euro 2008 live. But damn..they don't have this digital-box-thing-i-dont-understand so they wont be able to give me the service.
N-I-C-E. shit.
How could they be defeated by Netherlands? And how could they be held to a draw by Romania? Kainis. Nagretire lang si Zidane ganyan na. Ugh..kainis. Talo ako sa pusta. grrrr...........
First week hullaballoo
Oh well everyone seemed posting about their first week school hullaballoo. So I thought why not post? Got tons of shitstufff to tell anyway.
For starters, whoever the hell is my professor on that BIO 1 class? He already missed 2 straight classes. Doesn't he know that he handles our class for him not to show up?
I'm a junior by the way, well technically speaking. My batch is 2006 and that means this is my third year at this university. But since i just shifted, AGAIN, it is my first year in the Linguistics department so I dunno if they would classify me as a freshman. (Weeh..asa) Whatever. I'd just have to add a year anyway. I had enough GE credits nman. Grr...
And btw, French is fun. lots of tonsil (huh? haha..), and nasal. I like it. really. Ça va bien?. hehe...
quoting pat evangelista
It is simply a matter of ethics- whether it is correct for an individual who is mandated to represent the people to use that same mandate to sell soap to that same public.
Cheers for Ana Ivanovic!
Broadcast of the French Open was delayed here in Manila. Was it aired live from Paris at Solar Sports? Damn..la kasing Solar Sports dito eh. I've just seen it on Balls only this afternoon, having read the news of her win on the internet earlier this morning. Yeah. So she won a grand slam title, finally. And on top that, she was proclaimed world no. 1 days before.
I like her. haha..she looks tremendously charming on court.
f*cked up enrollment
wtf..i swear it did suck. BIG TIME. long queue lines, burning post-summer heat, inadequate number of register assistants, missing professors, and a fucked up CRS..
