Every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end
-an old Buddhist adage
Lozada's testimony was not only the beginning of a renewed, and presently growing public outrage against the Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo administration. It was also the end of a period of indifference. In the past weeks, we have seen organizations, institutions, groups, and individuals- of different stripes, coming from different walks of life- uniting in their stand for truth and accountability.
We have seen people analyze corruption on how it affects people. We have seen people express disgust on how billions of public funds go to the pockets of a few, at the expense of the public themselves.
The beginning of speaking out is the end of silence.
One reason we have been called iskolars ng bayan is because of our proud and pro-people role throughout history. UP students carries on the fight We have always been thought of having the best, the brightest- and the best interests of our nation in mind.
The beginning of questioning is the end of confusion
In a time where the people are confused and seeking answers, our role has become to lead the way. Lead the way, not as messiahs, but according to the principle of for the people, from the people.
The beginning of action is, the end of inaction
It is not ignorance or apathy that prevails today, it is confusion and indecision. Only with our collective voice can we send our message to them: Hindi kayo nag-iisa
Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end
Some say that we already have People Power fatigue. That people have been disillusioned with the broken promises of EDSA 1 and 2 is a fact. But it is also a fact that in every defeat, there is also a victory. Or in other words, every cloud has its silver lining.
The beginning of involvement is the end of uncertainty
There is no magic formula in ensuring the post-Arroyo future. Only through our direct participation do we get the nearest thing to certainty. Only by ensuring her removal at the hands of the unity of the broad masses do we ensure that it is not "more of the same" in the post-Arroyo future.
The beginning of our awareness is Gloria's end.
Our nation cannot move on with Gloria in power. As Lozada has said, she is center of evil. The prevailing ecosystem of corruption will sustain itself as long as she is in power. And how do we remove her from power? By being a participant, and not a spectator. The events of the previous days have been swift and surprising, but there is only a limit to which we can keep relying on these.
We must now keep the ball rolling. Only by turning out in decisive numbers in the mass actions of the coming days do we assure the people watching the sidelines that it is safe to comeout. Only then can we push them out of the sidelines. We too may have some fears, but like Jun Lozada, it is about time we took the first step.

at UP fair...
I was with my Pam and cousin Meg last night at Eufairia, UP fair's grand finale. Actually, I went there not to hear the music but just for me to say that I went there. So expect me not to appreciate those bands-i-dunno-who-are-they...they seemed to be out of their sanity. They made this growling/shouting (is that singing) sound..and boy, I just hate it.
We went there because Pam and Meg insisted. They wanted to see their fave band Chicosci. Antagal before Chicosci performed and I was really getting mad because we were still suppose to go to Drew's after we dropped at the fair cause I rold them wanna drink. We were about to leave when this Hilera band performed, and the two also seemed to love the band so they pleaded to stay for a little longer.
Before they started performing, the band's vocalist shouted, "Hey..dun po sa mga nags-slaman, wag po tayong mag-away. HIndi po tayo magkakaaway, ang totoo nating kaaway ay ang presidente!" And the audience screamed and growled in surprise with the vocalist's statement.
Tapos, pahuli niyang sigaw, "TANGINA MO BUMABA KA NA GLORIA!." Wtf...lalong nagwala yung mga tao. astig.

Not alone yesterday.
Oh well...so guess I'm wasn't really alone yesterday. I was with Elisha and we hangout at our place we-love-forever.
So what's with yesterday's meeting anyway? It was for my birthday (which was last Feb2, or 12 days ago yesterday) cause we weren't able to meet in between Feb 2-13.
Neway, we just did wacky stuff. She gave me this divine cake.
And we also did our podcast for Kim. It was great...so great that I suggest that we do this more often and create our own podcast series for our crapstuff.
Haha..yun lang..fun. care to share your Vday experience?

xara, my bday and toblerone
After exams in Geog101, I met Xara at the corridor and gave her Toblerone. Sabi niya, "Oh? What's this for?"
Sabi ko, "Its my birthday na eh, tomorrow. Oii...wag ka maingay ah." *ngingiti-ngiti*
Sabi niya, "Thanks ah. I'll pick up something for you next week. So how old are you?"
Sabi ko, "I'd turn 18 tomorrow."
Sabi niya, "Wow...legal na!...legal nang manood ng R18 films!"
I was like...WTF? haha...
